the GMs of the following teams have started a trading commitee: Ottawa Senators, Atlanta Thrashers, Columbus Blue Jackets (mod), Tampa Bay Lightning.
The commitee works like this... - WE (all 4 GMs) can approve trades involving teams without GMs or with inactive teams. - All 4 of us have to approve and agree with the trade and decide if its fair or not before it is accepted - We accept the trades on behalf of the inactive/no-GM teams - For a trade proposal you must create a new thread stating the requested trade - If the trade is accepted one or more of us will reply accepted or denied on the thread you created. - No trades making the other team go over the cap limit will be accepted. - After a trade is accepted there is a 48hr waiting period to allow the inactive GMs/unused teams who may become active to deny the trade but he/she must deny it BEFORE 48hrs of the approval or else the trade stands. - If a trade is accepted by 3 of the members of the commitee and declined by one member. The member who declines MUST give good and acceptable reasoning for declining the trade.
Any questions ask me or columbus or just ask here...
Threads created should be made in offseason trading. All threads made should start with PROPOSAL -. for example... Proposal - TBL/BUF
This will make it easy to read. Include your team abriveation (sp?) FIRST and the inactive team second after the PROPOSAL -

I have to totally disagree with this. I know you want to make trades with teams that aren't active, but this will destroy any chance of having new GM's coming into this league.

I think that the league should be able to vote on trade with inactive teams as well as the commitee's choice

the problem is that, me, ottawa, atlanta and columbus are the onyl active enough teams... and there hasnt been a new member since BigBuzz on august 3rd which was 19 days ago.. the league is already dead so dont worry about it dying more lol.. it can only make those who are active even more active. And as for voting if the commitee makes the right decisions is stupic.. thats the whole point of the commitee... if 4 people can agree on it then it must be fair.

I'm on everyday. I just don't post all the time because I don't see the point in posting if I have nothing to say or see nothing important to comment on.

I think the rest of the league should have a time limit to accept or decline. If no one responds it is a deal.

no because even if the trade was lopsided in favour of the no-GM team.. someone might declne... its has to be 100% and 4 GMs is enought i think
